Water Monitoring

A new computerized monitoring system was installed October 2019.  This system allows our water manager, Jose Escalera, to monitor our water system from his cell phone.  Sensors are in place to track water levels in the towers, in both wells & pump starts and stops.  Problems can be corrected from his cell phone or the system can shutdown if needed.  This will result in quicker alerts for water leakages.

Water system audit

From January 2015 through March 2019 Bridgehaven Waterworks went through an extensive audit by Washington State Dept. of Revenue.

Public Utility taxes and Business & Occupation taxes for that period were adjusted for a refund of $4,650.  The main reason is that Bridgehaven is a nonprofit entity operating the water system and eligible for credits on capital improvements to our water system. BCCA did not use those credits on the original report forms to the state.
