We are required by state regulation to keep an updated survey form on file for each water customer.
Below find the 2025 cover letter you received in the mail, a link to download the BCCA Cross Connection Control Program policy PDF document, and a survey form you can use in lieu of mailing back the form you received in the mail.
March 2025
Dear Bridgehaven Community Club water system user,
To ensure the safety of our drinking water supply, we are conducting a cross-connection control survey as required by Washington Administrative Code WAC 246-490. This program is designed to protect water system users from Contaminates or non-potable substances from entering, or possibly entering, the drinking water Supply.
Part of the Cross Connection program requires us to identify existing, or potential, cross connections. We ask that you complete the enclosed survey form and return it to us by July 15, 2025 so that we may be able to Identify cross connection situations. You can also go to Bridgehaven.net to view and complete the form online. The complete policy and questionnaire are listed under the Water Department tab.
What is a CROSS CONNECTION?
A cross connection is any physical arrangement where a public water system is connected directly, or potentially connected, with any other non-potable system. Non-potable systems may include auxiliary water systems (private wells), sewers, drain conduit, swimming pools, air conditioning systems, or any other system or device which contains, or may contain, contaminated water, sewage or other substances that are considered unsafe or toxic. Additionally, whenever backflow (opposite of the normal flow of water in the system) occurs, or could occur, that would be considered a cross connection.
Answering yes on the survey form may not immediately require you to install corrective measures against cross connections or jeopardize your service, but will alert us to the possibility of a cross connection, and that further investigation may be required. Please note, however, that this survey is mandatory and must be completed and returned. If we do not receive your
completed survey form by July 15, 2025, you will be reminded, and a site visit may be required. If a site visit is required, a $25.00 charge will be added to your October water bill.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this survey, or the Cross Connection control Program, please let us know. The information you provide will enable the Bridgehaven Community Club to deliver the safest water possible to your home or business.
Thank you for your time in filling out this survey.
