Bridgehaven Community Club Association Board Meeting April 17, 2021

President Blake Egenes called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m., April 17, 2021. The meeting was held at Bridgehaven Marina.

 

Board members in attendance were:  President, Blake Egenes, Vice President, Dave Wilson, Member At Large, Kimbery Funk, Assistant Treasurer, Marilyn Bryant, Secretary, Nancy Schulberg. Other members in attendance: Bill Bryant,  Cathy Wright, and Rhonda Morris.

Marina Manager, Matt Maynard, Water Commissioners, Joe Schwan, Jess Morris, and Stan Kriegel.   

 

Water Commissioners Joe Schwan and Jess Morris gave a report of the latest projects:

  • Removal of trees at the pumphouse.  Cost will be $5,400.00, done by Windle Excavation, LLC.
  • The Seattle Hill Loop Drive water line will be completed.
  • New storage for records at the pumphouse.

 

President Blake Egenes made a motion to have the trees removed, all were in favor.  Motion was passed.

 

Electronic water meters will be installed at a later time.

 

Commissioners stated that Mike McClure will be Water Manager, Jose Escalera’s backup in case of an emergency if Jose would not be available.

 

The vault on Blue Jay Lane needs to be revamped.

 

The water system’s electronics went down earlier this spring when we had a series of  power surges.  A larger power amp was installed to prevent this from happening in the future.

 

Bridgehaven will hold their annual garage sale this year.  The dates are Friday and Saturday, June 11 & 12, 2021.  Time 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  We will advertise, but please feel free to do your own as well.

 

Verbiage has been removed from Bridgehaven.net. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED IN BRIDGEHAVEN

 

Small craft storage will consist of several eye bolts being placed in the logs along the water’s edge between the boat ramp and the entrance of the docks.  More details will be available on Bridgehaven FaceBook and Bridgehaven.net after they are installed.

 

The board decided that a light at the top of North Beach Drive was not something that needed to be done.

 

A new light will be installed illuminating the American Flag at the marina.

 

The parking lot at the marina is being overtaken by weeds.  At this time we will have our contractor continue weed eating them.

 

Marina Manager Matt Maynard gave his report on repairing the far end dock at the marina (T-Head).  This maintenance was previously approved and will be done by Bellingham Marine.  The cost will be $54,000.00.

 

There are presently three 20’ slips available.  Numbers 7, 17 and 20.

 

The boat ramp at the marina is on the list of repairs to be done in the next few months.

 

Blake Egenes motioned to adjourn the meeting, Nancy Schulberg seconded the motion.  Meeting was adjouned at 11:50 a.m.
