We look forward to working together with you to enhance and improve Bridgehaven. We are open to any ideas, suggestions, and thoughts to promote the betterment of our community.

CHANGES TO THE BY-LAWS WERE PASSED.

Please change your BCCA by-law booklet "Article 3" Meeting of members, Section 1 to read "June"
instead of "September
."

The Water Budget also PASSED as presented at the Annual Meeting in September.

Meetings:

Our current meeting schedule is as follows, Quarterly Meetings December 12, 2011 at 4pm, and April 12, 2012 at 4pm. The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held on June 16, 2012 at lOam at the Port Ludlow Fire Station.

Other Events:

Clean-up Day is scheduled on May 6, 2012, Garage Sale scheduled on June 22-23, 2012, and the Annual Picnic for August 11, 2012.

Call for NEW BOARD MEMBERS - member participation is needed!

Now is the time to take your turn and become a board member. There are two open positions coming up for the Fall election at the Annual Board Meeting on Sat., Sept. 10, 2011 at the  Port Ludlow Fire Hall on Oak Bay Rd. Steve Silver and Cathy Wright are  completing their terms. Please call or email the board Secy. or Pres.  with your name, or name of community member who has agreed to  participate on the board. By-laws require a three-year board commitment, with most participation occurring at the Annual Meeting and three  Quarterly meetings during the year.

Annual Meeting: Save the date!!!! Sat., Sept. 10, 2011 1-4 P.M. , Port Ludlow Fire Hall,  7650 Oak Bay Rd., Port Ludlow. Please attend to support our community.  An important proposal to change the by-laws will require a vote; as  presented in the recent newsletter:

By-Laws change Proposal: The Board of Directors has proposed a change in the by-laws with regard to the Annual Meeting date. From an online poll on the BCCA website,  most responders agreed to a June meeting time instead of September. It  is proposed that the Annual Meeting be changed from the month of  September to the month of June.

ARTICLE 3. MEETING OF MEMBERS (Proposal to change By-Law)

  • · Section 1. The annual meeting of the members shall be held at the principal place of  business of the corporation, or at such time and place as the Board of  Directors may designate within the first two (2) weeks of September of  each year.
  • · Section 1. The Annual meeting of the members shall be held at the principal  place of business of the corporation, or at such time and place as the  Board of Directors may designate within the month of June of each year.
  • Annual Picnic – August 13, 2011 - Call for committee members - The committee to organize the Annual Picnic will meet on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 10:00 at the Pavilion. Last year’s fish fry was an outstanding success and we want to continue to make the picnic a fun event for all families. We need your help with food, games, setup, cleanup.

Directory Update- Deadline: June 15, 2011. Many changes have occurred; new members, new phone numbers, correcting  mistakes in the previous directory, etc. We need you to fill out the  form mailed to you with your current information: Name (s) of home/ lot  owner, home mailing address or winter home address, Bridgehaven address, home and cell phone numbers, and email addresses. This is for a  community directory and is not used for any other purpose than member’s  use in the community. It is especially important to have current phone  numbers, in case of emergency. Fill out the form you received in the  mail and return the form to Cathy Wright, Board Secretary, 150 North  Beach Dr., Port Ludlow, WA 98365 or email this information to the Board  Secretary: Cathy Wright marcat@olypen.com. by June 11, 2011. If your information is the same as the 2009 Directory, please inform Cathy by email or letter.
