AUGUST 2011 BRIDGEHAVEN COMMUNITY PICNIC - FUN FOR EVERYONE!

It was a great picnic - for some reason having the fish fry theme seems to put a whole fresh new spin on the whole thing. Kudos to all those people that provided it and did everything else to make our picnic really fun this year!

Cathy Wright sent the following email to everyone who helped with the picnic - just in case she missed anyone, I am reprinting it here. And BY THE WAY, CATHY seems to be the only one who didn’t get thanked. SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH CATHY FOR ALL YOUR COORDINATING FOR THE PICNIC - GREAT JOB!

Thanks to everyone for helping with the Bridgehaven Picnic last Sat. This year, we coordinated all the volunteers a bit, so that we have a better participation. What a fun time. Judy Oberto created a great video of the picnic on the website. Check it out. Gary Reed and all the fishermen and women pulled off another fantastic fish feast. Thanks to all who caught fish and crab. Thanks to Bob and Judy Oberto for the flyers and signs. Thanks to Gary and Bill Bryant for pressure washing the Pavilion and Elsa Meadows and Bill Bryant for the help with cleaning windows on Friday. Thanks to Steve for weed-wacking around the grounds. Thanks to Jan and Curt for helping distribute flyers and setting up tables on Sat. Thanks to Rod for setting up the sound system again. Thanks to Dave Mathis for filling in as cook during the picnic, along with Bill Bryant and Gary Reed. A big thanks to Stan for getting some great certificates and a great raffle prize. Thanks to Gary Reed for setting up the big ice-chests with beverages and crab. Big thanks to Nickey Jones for helping get the food tables set up and the prizes organized. Thanks to Marilyn and Bill Bryant for those fantastic crab cocktails “ what a treat! Thanks to Marilyn Williams for help with name tags and raffle tickets. Thanks to those fantastic game directors Marty and Bev Clark and Dan & Margie Jones; fake eggs and water balloon madness! Thanks to Susan Kriegel for helping with Bingo; it helps to have two Bingo Queens! Thanks to all the kids who were a lot of fun.
